Deacon Paul Ravnikar and his wife, Mary were both born and raised in northern Minnesota on the Iron Range. He grew up in Ely and Mary grew up in Tower. They were married in 1982 and soon after moved to the Twin Cities for work. They currently live in Champlin, Minnesota. He works as a commercial plumber and Mary works in home lending compliance. They have one daughter, Jacquelyn, who is married to Tom Smith. They have been blessed with three grandchildren; Aggie, Anthony, and Teresa. Most of their free time is spent with the Smith family! The Diaconate has kept them plenty busy for the past 5 years. He was ordained a Permanent Deacon in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis on December 9, 2017. He feels very blessed to be assigned to St. Albert’s and St. Michael’s and he is excited to begin lovingly serving and getting to know the parishioners and staff.
